The eagerly awaited Undead Unluck anime, scheduled to premiere in Japan on October 6 (effectively October 7 at 1:23 AM JST), has unveiled its main trailer along with details about its theme songs.
The opening theme, titled "01," will be performed by Queen Bee and is featured in the trailer's second half, adding intensity to scenes showcasing various inhuman powers. The ending theme, "know me...," will be sung by Kairi Yagi.
Undead Unluck is adapted from Yoshifumi Tozuka's manga, which made its debut in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in 2020 and is set to release its 18th tankoubon volume on October 4. Viz Media provides a brief overview of the story:
"All Fuuko wants is a passionate romance like the one in her favorite shojo manga. Unfortunately, her Unluck ability makes that impossible. But just as Fuuko hits rock bottom, Andy sweeps her off her feet—literally! Now she’s become Andy’s unwilling test subject as he works to find a way to trigger a stroke of Unluck big enough to kill him for good. However, when the pair discovers a secret organization is hunting them, it puts Andy’s burial plans on hold."
The anime is directed by Yuuki Yase (known for Fire Force Season 1 and Mekaku City Actors) at david production, with Hideyuki Morioka (Fire Force) serving as the character designer and chief animation director. Other key staff members include:
