The final episode of the Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (My Happy Marriage) anime revealed a second season. Produced by Kinema Citrus, it originally aired in Summer 2023, with global simulcast on Netflix. An additional anime episode will be released with the eighth light novel volume in March 2024.
This anime adapts Akumi Agitogi's historical drama romance novel, which began in 2018 and has sold 8 million copies. Rito Kousaka's manga adaptation began in 2018. Yen Press licensed the light novel in June 2021, and Square Enix released the fourth manga volume in September.
The story follows Miyo Saimori, who marries Kiyoka Kudou for a chance at happiness despite her troubled past.
