Preview visuals from Episode 1 of "I'm in Love With the Villainess" have been released, showcasing the romantic dynamic between Rae Taylor and Claire Francois. The anime adapts the popular light novel series by Inori and Hanagata and is set to premiere on October 2, with Crunchyroll simulcasting it for international viewers.
Hideaki Oba directs the series, while Ayumu Hisao handles the script and series composition. Kiyotaka Yachi serves as the Art Director, with Toshimitsu Kobayashi and Yoko Sato as Chief Animation Directors, and Sato also designing the characters. Yu Serizawa and Karin Nanami star as Rae Taylor and Claire Francois.
The story follows Rei Oohashi, who is reborn inside her favorite otome video game as "Rae Taylor," in love with the game's antagonist, Claire Francois. Rae's goal is to win Claire's heart while navigating the advances of three male suitors. The novel originally launched on Shosetsuka Ni Naro in January 2018, later published by Aichu Publishing in February 2019.
The series has also spawned manga adaptations and additional light novels. "I'm in Love With the Villainess" will be available on Crunchyroll starting October 2, and the original light novels can be found from Seven Seas Entertainment.
