Kadokawa unveiled a new promotional video for the second season of the anime "Banished From The Heroes' Party," along with a January 2024 premiere date. The season's title is "Shin no Nakama janai to Yūsha no Party o Oidasareta node, Henkyō de Slow Life Suru Koto ni Shimashita 2nd."

In terms of staff changes, Makoto Hoshino is now the chief director, while Satoshi Takafuji takes on the director role. Studio Flad is the sole animation production studio this time. Yukiko Ashino joins as the art setting alongside Tsukasa Ohira, while Norimasa Teramoto is the new director of photography, and Takatoshi Hamano replaces Nobuyuki Abe as the sound director. Magic Capsule is now handling sound production.

Funimation streamed the first season, which originally aired in fall 2021. Makoto Hoshino directed the first season, with Megumi Shimizu overseeing the series scripts and Ruriko Watanabe designing the characters.

Yen Press publishes the light novels in English, describing a story of a former hero striving for an easy life on the frontier.

Zappon began the story on the "Shōsetsuka ni Nārō" website in October 2017, continuing there. Kadokawa published it in print with Yasumo's illustrations in June 2018, and a manga adaptation by Masahiro Ikeno followed in May 2018. The franchise boasts over 2.2 million copies in circulation.
